Cooking courses

The cooking classes at the Farmhouse San Leonardello will take you on a multi-sensory journey in a family atmosphere, including appetisers, desserts and recipes from the Sicilian gastronomic tradition. Sicilian cuisine is an art, an expression of the various cultures that have dominated the island and made it rich in specialities over the centuries.

The variety of spices, aromatic plants and vegetables grown naturally in its fields gives each dish a simple, healthy and at the same time delicious character. During our courses, each participant will be able to pick vegetables and fruit directly from the garden and will receive a free apron with the company logo and a cookery course booklet.

Thanks to the professionalism of our chefs and their knowledge of ancient recipes, you will learn to create original and tasty dishes. Treat yourself to the experience of Sicilian cuisine, courses for individuals or groups, team cooking activities for companies, fun bachelor/bachelorette parties in the kitchen.

Educational Farm

The ecology school at the Farmhouse San Leonardello is the ideal opportunity to offer our guests environmental education itineraries. Our educational programmes will lead them to discover the world around them through the use of all the senses.

You will experience the close relationship between man and Mother Earth through a playful applied science course, thanks to which they will understand the consequences of every little daily gesture on nature.

The educational activities will become an opportunity to understand the strong link between agriculture and the history and culture of the area and to understand the relationship between food consumption, production systems and environmental protection, encouraging education in more critical and aware consumption.

During the activities, which include a visit to the citrus grove and the processing workshop, it will also be possible to taste and buy our products.

Around

The farmhouse San Leonardello will be the ideal starting point to spend pleasant days of relaxation and fun. Nature lovers will be able to set out to discover the Etna Park, choosing between the various paths that branch out among woods, caves and craters.

You can also book guided excursions that will take you safely up to an altitude of 3,000 metres, where you can admire the summit crater of Europe’s largest active volcano.

Alternatively, you can choose tasting tours, sightseeing trips to some of the most beautiful places in Sicily, relaxing days in Arab baths close to our hotel which also offer a free transfer service, and many other activities such as donkey rides in the Etna park, horse riding by the sea, adventure parks, water parks (Etnaland).
